Health Insurance

All students taking part in the ESC Semester Program are required to have international health insurance for the duration of the program.
Depending on the exchange through which you apply, the costs may or may not be included in your program fee (see below).

The local insurance which is required by the French government of all residents in France (Social Securité) is included in the program fee for ALL students, no matter which exchange program. Please note, this insurance does not cover everything that comprehensive international health and medical insurance covers.

 

Students enrolling through the WVU exchange:

Insurance is included in the program fee.

Students enrolling through the GSU exchange:

The Office of international programs at GSU uses HTH International.

Dr. Grussendorf and the GSU Study Abroad Office will assist you to set up your insurance for your program.

Emergency Assistance and Health Insurance Policy

Students enrolling through the UIW exchange:

Check with your health insurance to know whether or not you are covered while abroad. If not, or if the coverage is not sufficient, the UIW Study Abroad Office may offer suggestions of different insurance companies that offer international health insurance.
